Introduction to A2 media Coursework - Teaser Trailer

For my A2 media coursework, I am planning on choosing to do the Teaser Trailer, in the style of horror genre. For the two ancillary tasks I am going to do a film poster and magazine front cover.

WHAT I AIM TO DO!

To produce a Teaser trailer along with a magazine front cover and a film poster as advertisement, which would be suitable for my target audience by using camera shots and different editing techniques which will suit my chosen target audience.

•  Analyse and deconstruct film trailers appropriate to my genre and target audience.
•  Look for the specific forms and conventions of both trailers, magazine front covers and film posters, which will be related back to the horror genre.
•  Collate data from my target audience and find out what they want to see from a horror film and what they want to be included into different aspects
•  Analyse horror in great detail and see what's about already about for inspiration
• Look at different budget trailers 
• Deconstruct magazine front covers and posters in the horror genre
• Create storyboard for trailer
•  Look into audience theories and narrative theories
•  Plan my ancillary tasks, linking then to my teaser trailer.

At this moment, I am not fully sure on who is going to be my target audience. I will find this out from when I do my questionnaire. Doing this will give me all the answers to who I will target my film trailer at, what they are like/ like doing and what they look for in a film trailer.
