Characters

We have 2 main characters and only 23 characters in the whole trailer. We have kept this a small simple number because we don't want to confuse our audience by adding too many people into it.
The characters we have are;

The Mother: The mother is played by Shannon. She the biggest character in the trailer. She starts off as a general mother carrying a baby. The she finds a letter, which changes everything. She gets into a fight with her husband and he ends up killing her - hitting her over the head with a bat. She falls  down the stairs and is supposed to be dead ( as the audience know it.) She comes back to life however we only ever see the whole of her body at the end. We use extreme close up to give it an eerie look.

The Father: The father is played by the chief  I work with. He is a major character as he is the one who kills the mother. We see him burying her to get the idea she is officially dead. At the end we see him doing everyday jobs and getting into bed.

The Baby: The baby is a minor character and is only seen in one scene - the opening kitchen one. The reason why we have used a baby is because it shows that they are a couple and a family within the first couple of seconds of the trailer. It was very easy to film with a child, however we planned it could be harder because she could be screaming the whole way through. She was as good as gold and we managed to do that scene in two takes.
