Ancillary Task - Drafts - Film Poster

This is the first draft that we started off with. It was just to put down our ideas and what we wanted to go on our poster. This is so plain just all the information we needed. We will progress and create more of it.

This is the second draft. We have thought about our image and moved everything to the top so when we add the image into the poster we won't have to move it all about. Also we have added in what the film comes out, and lost the slogan because it didn't work on the poster. We want to keep it simple.

This is the third draft. We have moved the staring part to the bottom and put it in faint text. This is a form and convention of film poster so I thought we should follow it to make it work. We have kept everything else at the top.

Next we added in the image and finished of the section of writing down the bottom. From creating this we can see the red colour doesn't work, especially down the bottom where it blend to much into the ground. The title and the release date works well.

We have changed all the font colour. The bottom section we have changed to black and opacity to 44% because we really don't want it to stand out, however by looking at this it is too faint. Also we have out all the names in capitals to make them stand out more. We changed the title to white because it complements the poster and stands out. This works better with the poster as a whole.

Here we have done a slight change and it's not that noticeable however, it looks really good. We have moved the release date so the bottom part of the 'g' connects with the '0' of 2012. It blends both of them together and makes them look whole.

Here we have tried to add the blood splatters to the bat. We copied them from the last image, like we mentioned before and changed the opacity to 66% so it doesn't look so bold. I think the bottom part works well, however the second section is too high up the bat and too big.

We changed the opacity of the blood on the bat so it stands out more and tried to make it look 3D with shading and putting white and dark around the outside of it. Once again the bottom section works however the top part doesn't, and there is too much what on it.

Here we have gone with my decision to get rid of the top splatter of blood and just keep the bottom one. Personally I feel this look more effective and works a lot better!  This is still not finished because the bottom section is still too faint however it is getting there and is nearly done. With a few changed and tweaks it will be complete. I am proud of this as it works really well and sums up our trailer.
